Max Wilson Diamond Jeweller's reputation for high quality, manufactured and unique jewellery, is set in its heritage. In 1961, shortly after graduating from the Wellington Goldsmith School, Max Wilson established the store and workshop. Testament to quality is high customer demand, and this is what Max Wilson had. Taking on Val Hirst as business organiser extraordinaire in 1974 saw the beginning of the next chapter.
Val's daughter Susie Barr joined the Max Wilson family in 1984, progressing from after school junior to Manager within five years. With a prospering business, long-term client relationships, and a team that loved the company as much as he did Max retired. Buying the business in 1995, Val and Susie were joined by daughter and sibling, Lisa. The three continue to own and operate Max Wilson Diamond Jewellers today.
Whether you seek a custom designed piece, your watch repaired, ring resized, or an item from the great ranges we stock, our team of in-house experts continue to uphold the traditions and high standards of service and craftsmanship initiated by its founder.
